High Fiber Breakfast Meals

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Health experts are trying to convince people NOT to skip this meal because it helps to give them natural energy and to jump start the metabolism. Yet, when you go and eat a meal that is full of fatty foods than you are defeating the purpose of having a well balanced diet. Instead you should focus on the high fiber breakfast foods that will be easier for your body to digest in the morning.


Oatmeal is a great breakfast meal that is easy to make and tastes great. You can make it with nonfat or low fat milk and even add in dried fruit and nuts to spice it up. This is a low fat meal – but is high in fiber. It is going to make you full longer so that you are not starving by the time lunch comes around.

English Muffin

Is toast something that you prefer? Why not have a whole wheat English muffin that has some delicious peanut butter on top with raisins or sliced banana? This is great to make for your kids when you need to hurry out the door before you are late for school or work.

Cereal With Fruit

Sometimes the best thing to do is make something that is simple and takes not time to prepare. Find a high fiber cereal that is healthy for you and your kids to eat. Cover it with low fat milk and pour in fruit to make it tastier. When you add fresh strawberries or blueberries you are turning a boring meal into something worth savoring.

Whole Wheat Pancakes

The weekends are for sleeping in and enjoying the meals that you do not have the time to make on the weekdays. This is the time to make some whole wheat pancakes and toss in some fresh fruit. This is going to make it taste great and no one can resist a fluffy pancake!
